Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)
Bhutan applies an SDF for all visiting tourists to support environmental protection, infrastructure, and cultural preservation.
SDF Rates:
- International tourists: USD 100 per person per night
- Indian nationals: Nu. 1,200 per person per night
The fee helps Bhutan maintain its “High Value, Low Volume” tourism approach, ensuring better experiences for travelers and minimal impact on the environment.
